Housefull 6

Six films in, Housefull 6 isn’t trying to be anything other than what it is — a broad, mistaken-identity farce built for a big group laugh, and on that narrow measure it mostly delivers.

Story

A mix-up over a family inheritance sends three couples spiraling into a series of escalating lies, disguises, and chance encounters, all converging at an ill-fated destination wedding.

What Works

The trio of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Bobby Deol have clearly settled into an easy rhythm after multiple outings together, and their timing carries several scenes that would otherwise fall flat on the page. Bobby Deol in particular leans into the film’s silliest stretch — an extended disguise sequence in the second act — and gets some of the biggest laughs of the franchise’s recent run.

What Could Be Better

The plot is, as ever, a clothesline for set pieces rather than a story in its own right, and the film runs out of new ideas well before its climax. A few gags are recycled almost beat-for-beat from earlier entries, and the runtime sags noticeably in the middle stretch.

Final Verdict

Housefull 6 won’t convert anyone who has bounced off the franchise before, but for its existing audience it’s a reliable, undemanding watch best enjoyed with a large group and low expectations.
